Poster Contest
Deadline:

We
invite area children to enter the 16th annual F&CS Children's
Poster Contest. This year's theme is “Family Ties.”
Area
students can celebrate family life by illustrating the traditions
and values that shape families. Winning entries will be
published in Tulsa Kids magazine, and winners will receive
cash prizes and special recognition at a reception on Nov.
20.
Theme:
Family Ties
Categories:
Grades K-1; 2-3; 4-5; 6-8; 9-12
Materials:
Paints and markers are recommended instead of crayons. Please
do not use glitter. Your imagination is the only limit!
Size:
8-1/2" x 11" to 14" x 20"
Prizes:
Best
of Show Grand Prize, 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners and
Honorable Mention will be selected from each of the five
categories. The Best of Show Grand Prize winner will receive
a cash prize and a scholarship to the Philbrook Summer Arts
Camp. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will also receive
cash prizes. Honorable Mentions will be recognized with
a certificate.
Deadline:
All posters must be submitted by 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31,
2008 to the Central Office of F&CS, 650 S. Peoria .
Judging:
Community leaders and local artists will judge
the entries and select winners during the week of Nov. 5.
F&CS will contact the teachers of winning students.
Identification:
It is very important to place the student's name, teacher's
name, school and grade on the back, bottom right corner
of the poster.

posters become the property of F&CS. No posters will
be returned. Selected posters will be displayed, published
and otherwise used to promote public awareness and fundraising
efforts of F&CS.
